Habiganj is located 30 km south of the district town, 15 km north of Madhabpur Upazila Parishad, 1 km east of the gas field gate on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway and 2 km south of the Shahjibazar railway station.
Fruits Valley is situated on the top of a high hill in Shahajibazar area of Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district. The valley is owned by Habiganj Gas Field. Authorities did not open the Fruits Valley to anyone because of security concerns as the gas field is a sensitive organization. Visitors must take prior permission to visit here.
Fruits Valley has been built on 5 acres of land. The original plan was adopted in 2003. ATM Nasimuzzaman, Deputy Manager, Habiganj Gas Field, is responsible for implementation of Fruits Valley. The officials and employees of the gas field provided all possible assistance. It is basically an abandoned well.Some officials took the initiative to take advantage of the place. Fruits Valley was officially inaugurated on March 22, 2005 when work began as planned. The valley is made up of about 160 local and foreign fruit trees.
The valley is very beautiful and attractively decorated. Chinese construction style, apple, pineapple, finger vine arch etc. are very attractive to children and teenagers.
